Hey! Welcome back to my free inquiry blog, where I document myself trying to improve my cooking skills! This week, I planned to make caramelized onion pasta. I went home for Thanksgiving this weekend, so my plan got a little skewed, as my mom made the most delicious Thanksgiving dinner and, frankly, was quite full for the days following!
So when I returned from my weekend at home, I had to makeshift a recipe similar to the one I planned to follow. I did not have many groceries, so I went with what was in my fridge – which was 1 white onion!
Feel free to scroll through my process below!

I began by chopping up 1 whole white onion, and began to saute it in a large sauce pan with butter. (By the way, I was not following a recipe at this point so we were just going with what my stomach was telling me to do.)
While I was sauteing my onions, I started to boil a pot of water, and once that was boiled, I threw in some noodles that I had – which was spaghetti. I let those cook and I strained them once they were all done.
Once they were strained, I poured the noodles into the large saucepan with the onions and added my sauce of choice – Four Cheese Alfredo. I added some extra seasonings, salt, pepper, chilli flakes, and a little bit of cajun. Once that was all mixed up, I plated it and started to eat! It was super delicious, and I would make it again!
Next week, I am going to try and make the recipe below!
