Hello again! This week, we talked about and played around with different artificial intelligence tools. As we know, the use of AI has increased immensely over the past couple of years. We have seen it used for many different reasons, whether that be for personal or educational use. Being a student in times when tools such as Chat GBT and Co-pilot exist, it is exciting to understand how AI tools will impact the classroom when I am a teacher. I think the use of AI can be super helpful for students and teachers. It can help students generate prompts or ideas for essays, or even organize ideas when studying. It can help teachers create a lesson plan for upcoming classes, or help summarize texts that may be useful to read to students.

Above, I have posted an example of how to use generative AI tools, such as Chat-GBT to help plan a science lesson for a 2nd-grade level class. This lesson plan is a great start, and it has helped cultivate ideas for the lesson, but I would not use this exact lesson as it is important to personalize what we teach to the class. To conclude, it is clear that generative AI tools are extremely helpful in the classroom, it is just a matter of how we are using them. We should not be taking advantage of our access to AI tools to plagiarize our work, but rather to help us come up with the best ideas we can.
